During the first half of the 2001 and 2002 breeding season Northwest Glenord's
U.R. Arrow was leased by Armageddon
Clydesdales in Michigan where he has sired a number of excellent and prize
winning offspring. In addition to being a top breeding horse he also hitches
well, working in the single cart and team, as well as the lead of the tandem,
unicorn, four and six horse hitches. Arrow stands 18.0 hh and takes a 9 1/2
in front and 9 in hind shoe, his initial shoeing from being barefoot in the
pasture. Through the years Arrow has won 10 Championships at the Western Regional
Show, including being Supreme Clydesdale of the Show as a 13 year old in 2004.
We lost Arrow in October 2005. Arrow will live on through his offspring and
the wonderful memories that many persons hold of an outstanding animal.

H.C.'s sire, Collessie Cut Above won the prestigious Cawdor Cup for stallions in 1997 for his owner, Ronnie Black and has sired other Cup winners as well as many of the current winners in Scotland. As a foal he won at numerous shows during the fall/winter of 1998-1999 and was named the Best Male Clydesdale Foal of 1998. William Muir imported H.C. in April of 1999 and he was shipped directly to our farm. He now resides in Canada where in addition to his U.S. winnings, William Muir twice won the Grand Championships at Calgary and in 2002 showed him to the Reserve Grand Championship at the Royal in Toronto. William Muir passed away in April 2005. His knowledge and horsemanship will be missed in the horse world and more specifically on the Northwest Clydesdale Farm.
